Darwin, 23 January 2025

 

Today we took a taxi to the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. Which is a small gallery, not exceptional, but still enjoyable. There’s a bit of natural history, some good Aboriginal art, an interesting Cyclone Tracy exhibit and a collection of boats. So we took our time and were there a few hours, finishing with lunch in the café.

There’s not much more to say about the day and we’re now in the stage of washing and repacking to depart in the morning.


There are finally storm clouds coming through, with rain expected tomorrow. This may finally be the start of the monsoon, which is several weeks late this year, allowing the humidity to build up even more.
