Today we have been in Wayag, just over the equator in the northern hemisphere. It is sort of a cluster of limestone islands rather than a single island and when we awoke we were already moored in the middle of it all, which was quite beautiful. An early breakfast then we were transferred to a small beach. From there we kayaked around a few small rocky outcrops and then went snorkelling – there were lots of fish and shallow water until the middle of the channel where it dropped out of sight into the gloom.
Back to the ship for lunch, and then in the afternoon it was kayaking off the two tenders, which was again very good, while Lynn stayed back and organised a few things.
There was an early dinner, a barbeque on the deck which was pleasant though surpisingly loud, considering the open space, and fairly humid as there was no breeze. We have again avoided the evening entertainment which tonight would have been karaoke.
